Characters of the Naruto series

The story revolves around Uzumaki Naruto as he sets out on a journey across the world of Ninja. He soon realizes that he is a container of the Nine tailed Demon Fox. He is hated by the inhabitants of Konoha which is his native village, for this very reason. He grows up with a reputation of being a trouble maker which is really his way of seeking attention. However, his tough mental powers and a never say die attitude enables him to succeed in his adventures.

Apart from the main protagonist the plot of Naruto also follows the life of Uchiha Sasuke closely. Sasuke is Naruto’s closest friend as well as his rival. His life turns complex as he vows to avenge the massacre of his clan. The plot takes many interesting twists and turns and it becomes particularly difficult for the viewer to guess Sasuke’s real intentions.

Naruto’s team also consists of Haruno Sakura and Hatake Kakashi apart from Sasuke. Together they make an amazing team. All advanced Ninja techniques are taught to them by the three legendary ninjas, Jiraiya, Tsunade and Iruka. The determined and willful ninja then sets about battling monsters, fighting away other ninjas of his kind and even try to pass Ninja examinations with flying colors.

Although the story may seem to unravel the adventures of a young and mischievous young boy, it is actually based firmly on Japanese tradition and folklore.
