Make it or break it

The famous American television series, Make it or break it, started by Holly Sorensen has captured millions of sports as well as teen audiences. Holly Sorensen has been one of the most prolific personalities as she was the Senior Editor for Premiere and a writer for Us Weekly, In Style and many other publications. This show threw a spotlight on the lives of young aspiring teen gymnasts who breaks the shackles to reach their destination-Olympic Games. The show raised its curtains on ABC Family on June 22, 2009 with a whopping 2.5 million viewers! Today because of its tremendous success and adulations, another 10 additional episodes will be aired very soon in the near quarters of 2010.

Make it or break it plot

Make it or break it commenced with the story of an young and determined gymnast Emily (Chelsea Hobbs), who wins a scholarship to attend the Rock gymnastic training center. However with meager finances in her pocket and a mom who is no more than a flake, she loses her points. Other haughty girls look down upon her because of her poor background history and she lags behind in the bandwagon of The Rock gymnasts. But with Emily had a gem of a heart and posed a threat to her competitors Payson Keeler (Ayla Kell), Kaylie Cruz (Josie Loren) and Lauren Tanner (Cassie Scerbo). These three girls were most likely to lock in spots at nationals to represent The Rock and Emily with all her spirit walks in, and take the center stage.

The series is ABC Family’s second-highest rated series of all time behind “The Secret Life of the American Teenager.” “I’m thrilled to be announcing the pick-up of our latest hit, Make It or Break It.’ This show just roared out of the gate with its smart mix of rivalry and romance,” said Lee. It seems everyone misses their heart beat with a great casting. The cast combines Chelsea Hobbs as gymnastic newcomer ‘Emily Kmetko’, Ayla Kell as top gymnast ‘Payson Keeler’, Josie Loren as the beautiful gymnast ‘Kaylie Cruz’, and Zachary Burr Abel as the gym’s resident hottie, ‘Carter Anderson.’ Peri Gilpin and Candace Cameron Bure both make a return to series television in starring roles. The subtle blend of romance and rivalry, romance and a great script, fuses to produce an everlasting impression on us. The series also scored a 2.3 rating among females 12-34, which makes it the top cable series for that demographic. “We hear a lot of pitches about sports and that kind of arena, but Holly’s pitch about kids with serious careers had an insider’s point of view yet was so relatable,” says ABC Family programming exec Kate Juergens.
